Authenticating your accounts provides incremental analytics and reporting to everyone within your organization. It will ensure that you are receiving all historical reviews for those pages instead of just a sample size. You can authenticate Facebook and Google accounts within Guest Intelligence if you are an administrator of your Facebook pages and/or your Google My Business pages.
Here's how you can tell if you have administrative rights on the native platforms below:
Google My Business:Login --> Left Hand Column --> UsersClick Users: User must be the primary owner or manager to create change on the page. Only primary owners can add new people to the page.Facebook/Instagram:Login--> Settings --> Page Roles --> Scroll down to see Admins & Moderators. Must be an admin to affect change on the page.
Here's how you authenticate your brands.
Facebook
To authenticate Facebook complete the following steps.
- Click on "Administration" in the left menu.
- Select "Link Social Accounts" below Administration in the left menu.
- Click on the Facebook tab.
- Click the blue "Authenticate" button
- You will be re-directed to Facebook.
- You will be prompted to log in and "Authorize the App". Authorizing allows you to access the designated Social Media account through Guest Intelligence.
- Once you complete Facebook, they will redirect you back to Guest Intelligence. It can take up to 24 hours for all of your locations to be imported and assigned.
If authentication is lost or needs to be reset you can re-authenticate your account by doing the following:
- Click on "Administration" in the left menu.
- Select "Link Social Accounts" below Administration in the left menu.
- Click on the Facebook,Instagram or Google tab.
- Click on the Remove Pages button, this will remove your current authentication from this system. It will not delete your guest comment data. When it is done the authenticate button should appear.
- Click the blue "Authenticate" button
- You will be re-directed to Facebook,Instagram, or Google directly.
- You will be prompted to log in and "Authorize the App". Authorizing allows you to access the designated Social Media account through Guest Intelligence.
To authenticate Instagram complete the following steps. One note is that Instagram is using the Facebook Authentication process. You will need to login with your Facebook account, not your Instagram account.
Click on "Administration" in the left menu.
- Select "Link Social Accounts" below Administration in the left menu.
- Click on the Instagram tab.
- Click the blue "Authenticate" button
- You will be re-directed to Instagram.
- You will be prompted to log in and "Authorize the App". Authorizing allows you to access the designated Social Media account through Guest Intelligence
- Once you complete Instagram, they will redirect you back to Guest Intelligence
- You should be able to see all of the Instagram Accounts associated to your Instagram Account.
- On the Drop Down List next to each account, please select a brand you would like that account associated with.
Google My Business
To authenticate a new account within Guest Intelligence, do the following:
- Click on "Administration" in the left menu.
- Select "Link Social Accounts" below Administration in the left menu.
- Click on the Google tab. Click the blue "Authenticate" button
- You will be re-directed to Google directly.
- You will be prompted to log in and "Authorize the App". Authorizing allows you to access the designated Social Media account through Guest Intelligence.
- Once complete Google will direct you back to White Box. It will take up to 24 hours to bring in your units and assign then in Guest Intelligence.
*** Please note: This does not give Black Box Intelligence access to your personal accounts on Facebook or Google. This only allows Guest Intelligence to capture your customer's feedback on your owned Facebook and Google pages.
